Dawn Thelen
Sweat Club Owner | Bootcamp Coach | Elite Trainer
Hey! Thanks for clicking on my profile! I’m Dawn, the owner of the Sweat Club and Stretch Fitness!
I fell in love with health and fitness at an early age which started my sports career at the age of 7 playing tennis and softball. I played varsity tennis all through high school and was a fast-pitched softball pitcher from the age of 8 through college where I received a full-ride scholarship to pitch. My college career ended with a shoulder injury, leaving me unable to play anymore. At the age of 19 is when I shifted my focus toward nutrition and coaching which is what led me to where I am today! Over 6 years ago, I decided to close the book on my successful Corporate America career and focus 100% on coaching. My husband and I decided on a whim to sell our house up north and move across the country to Chattanooga, TN where we now reside!
Since 2013, I have successfully coached over 2,000 clients from across the globe – from South Africa to right here in Chattanooga. From Olympic athletes, professional boxers, Iron Man contenders all the way to the average person just looking to get healthy. For 8 of the 10 years, I coached my clients right in my commercial home basement gym always with the goal of opening a brick-and-mortar location. In 2021 I took a gamble, even while in the midst of a pandemic, and opened up the Sweat Club gym located in Red Bank, TN. and grew our gym family to something amazing!
In my free time, or what there is of it (when you own two businesses, you don’t have much free time, haha!) I love to spend time with my husband and dog, Boots. Whether it’s just chillin’ on the couch watching movies and eating snacks (my fav!), exploring our beautiful city, or hitting the trails in the Jeep.
I’m often asked what got me started with wanting to coach as an adult, and it’s because of my past that led me to where I am today. I don’t tell my story to many, but I grew up with a very rough childhood that led into early adulthood. I’m the daughter of an alcoholic mother and I lost my father when I was only 2 years old, he was only 25 when he passed. Without going into the details, you can say that I’ve been through just about everything imaginable. I could have turned out like most and taken the easy way out, the path of self-destruction like I had witnessed growing up, but at age of 9, the stubborn kid in me was determined to never turn out like my surroundings. I’ve always felt that everything I had gone through in life was to build me to be the strong woman I am today and to be able to use my lessons and strength to help others, and it just happened to be through health and nutrition. Fitness had always been my savior as a child as well as into my adult years and it’s continued to help heal me even after all these years of coaching and helping others. XO

Sebastian Strecker
Elite Personal Trainer
Hey guys! My name is Sebastian. I have been personal training for over a year now and I can't imagine life without having a barbell in my hands while putting in some work at the gym. I have also been a volunteer firefighter for over 2 years, and I enjoy other physical pursuits such as Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Like you I have been a client before, I know how it feels to not know anything and feel like you're not strong enough to do anything. But your body and your mind are capable of so much more and I am here to teach you exactly that. We are all human; we have our struggles, but you have the choice to either be the victim or be your own hero. Which one are you going to choose?
